And:

We reviewed multi-digit multiplication, long division, and computation with fractions. I introduced addition and subtraction of fractions with unlike denominators. (Math: Computation)
She has begun researching geology, on her own, and recording her findings in a notebook.

Unschooling mom of Movie Buff (age 20), Über-Gamer (16), and Fox Lover (10).

In a former life, I was a professional counselor, working with troubled youth. I am now a freelance writer/editor and online writing coach, teaching middle- and high-school composition. My kids have been learning without school for over 10 years.

Having 2 eclectic learners with vastly different needs and learning styles, it's important to be flexible and choose classes and activities from as many venues as possible. We are fortunate to live in an area with a vibrant homeschooling community -- there are various schools, homeschooling groups, co-ops, and other resources. We are also near the George Washington National Forest and the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as various locally owned farms, a Shakespeare theater, and plenty of other interesting things.
